Data Collection Project

Participant Requirements
• Adults (18+ years).
• Active users of at least 5 eligible applications.
• Must have more than 2 years of usage history for the applications they submit.
• The 5 applications must include:
At least 1 Calendar/Mail app.
At least 1 Social Media app, where social media applications include YouTube, Snapchat, Discord, Reddit, etc
• Participants can submit more than 5 applications if they are eligible.

Please note that WhatsApp, Instagram, and any Meta-based app won’t be considered

Data Collection Process
Participants will export their data using each application's native Data Export / Download
Your Data feature. No login credentials or account access are required, and all exports are performed by the participant.
Once the exports are ready, participants upload the exported ZIP files through a secure submission form.

Data Privacy
A PII (Personally Identifiable Information) removal tool is available to scrub or mask personal
information before the data is shared. No raw data is forwarded to the client without PII processing.

Validation
Each submitted application undergoes QA validation to ensure:
• Successful export.
• Correct file format.
• Sufficient historical data.
• Meaningful usage history.
• Completeness of the exported data.
If some applications are rejected, participants may submit additional eligible application exports until they meet the qualification criteria.

Timeline
The export process may take anywhere from a few minutes to 24–48 hours, depending on the application, as many apps generate exports asynchronously. Participants typically initiate the export first and upload the data once it becomes available.
