Cybersecurity & IT Systems Specialist
Work Location: Remote (Global)

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
ROLE SUMMARY
The Dr. Brown Group is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity & IT Systems Specialist to oversee the security, reliability, and performance of our international technology infrastructure.
This role is responsible for protecting company and patient data, maintaining cloud-based systems, supporting our global workforce, implementing cybersecurity best practices, and leading IT projects across our healthcare, education, retail, laboratory, and technology businesses.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations while supporting innovation through AI, cloud computing, automation, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity
- Develop and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity strategy.
- Monitor networks and cloud infrastructure for threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement Zero Trust security architecture.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and coordinate remediation.
- Manage phishing prevention and security awareness training.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular security audits.
- Ensure encryption of sensitive company and patient data.
- Develop incident response procedures.
IT Infrastructure
- Manage Microsoft 365 environment.
- Manage Azure and cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain Windows and Mac environments.
- Support remote employees across multiple countries.
- Maintain VPN access and identity management.
- Configure and maintain network security.
- Manage servers, backups, and cloud storage.
- Ensure high availability of critical business systems.
Identity & Access Management
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Configure Conditional Access Policies.
- Monitor privileged accounts.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding.
- Perform regular access reviews.
Cloud Administration
Support and maintain:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft 365
- SharePoint
- Teams
- OneDrive
- Exchange Online
- Intune
- Defender for Business
- Azure Backup
- Azure Virtual Machines
Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
- HIPAA
- Bermuda PIPA
- GDPR (where applicable)
- Cyber Essentials principles
- Healthcare information security standards
Assist with:
- Policy development
- Risk assessments
- Internal audits

- Documentation
Technical Support
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience.
- Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity.
- Experience supporting cloud-based organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Certifications

- CISSP
