Responsibilities
Program Description:
The program provides Systems Engineering design and assessment support for defense industry partners as part of a larger Model-Based and Digital Engineering approach. The core deliverables of this effort will include generating a representative model of the "As-is" system, assessing the Cyber and Safety posture of the system in accordance with government standards, and generating any necessary artifacts to meet customer CDRLs assigned to STC.
Position Description:
A Cyber Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- Assessing existing system design for cybersecurity posture
- Producing a gap analysis to align cybersecurity posture with relevant government standards (NIST, CISA, etc.)
- Developing a roadmap to meet compliance for government standards
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering team to include Cybersecurity as part of the larger Systems Architecture Model
- Define, trace, and update CCIs as needed within the Systems Architecture Model
- Provide briefings to customer and government stakeholders to promote understanding of Cyber posture and mitigation plans
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS 5-7, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 (Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred)).
- 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with demonstrated range safety knowledge.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a Secret Clearance
- Able to support customer’s core hours (0900-1500; Mon – Fri)
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in cybersecurity principles
- Systems Engineering (configuration management, requirements management/writing, architecture, interfaces)
Desired Qualifications:
- A Cyber Certification (DoD 8570/8140)
- Demonstrated experience with security assessment tools, network security and RMF
- Experience with ACAS (Assured Compliance assessment Solution) and with eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services
- Experience in preparing for and supporting IA audit requirements
- Demonstrated analytical skills, communications skills (verbal and non-verbal) and ability to work with a team (internal and external stakeholders)
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience briefing senior customer personnel
- Experience supporting IC or DoD in the Cyber Security Domain

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
