Job Purpose

We are looking for a commercially minded Customer Relationship Manager to support the growth of Tropic's banana business in the Philippines.


This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of agricultural innovation, helping growers adopt transformative new banana varieties while strengthening relationships with some of the most influential companies in the industry. Reporting to the Commercial team, you will serve as Tropic's key representative in the Philippines, working closely with customers to build trust, support commercial success and maximise the impact of our varieties.


Whilst the role will initially focus on banana, there may be opportunities to support additional crops in future as Tropic continues to grow its commercial portfolio.


Responsibilities  

  • Develop trusted relationships with leading banana producers across the Philippines.
  • Drive customer success and identify opportunities to grow business within existing accounts.
  • Act as Tropic's primary representative for customers in the region.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer insights to support commercial strategy.
  • Support stewardship, compliance and intellectual property protection activities.


Requirements

We're looking for someone who combines excellent relationship-building skills with a strong understanding of the banana industry.


You will have:


  • Experience working within the banana industry.
  • Strong customer relationship management or commercial account management experience.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to build credibility with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
