Job Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of custom software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position focuses on establishing development standards and ensuring that the software produced meets high benchmarks for quality, scalability, and performance. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals is a key aspect of daily activities, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
10+ years IT Services experience including 6 years in Oracle Big Machines (CPQ) implementation
Experience in HTML/XHTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, SOAP-based web services
Experience in Product Configuration & Rules, Commerce Process, Document Engine and Pricing functionality of Oracle Bigmachines CPQ Cloud
Oracle Bigmachines CPQ Cloud Integration using pre-built connectors and point to point integration with CRM and ERP applications
CPQ migration methodology and Change Management process
Responsible for the functional specification, technical design, implementation and support of CPQ processes and Big Machines solutions
Experience/knowledge of BMI Configuration, Commerce Document Engine and Big Machines Language (BML)
Big Machines design experience & understanding of the core CPQ architecture Designs, configures, and develops custom code/objects using the Big Machine developer toolkit
Desired Skills
Develops customization in related to CPQ (Big Machine) ecosystem.
Develops web services API integrations with other systems including CRM systems
Manage product proprietary and confidential product pricing and configuration information.
Must be conscientious and see problems through to completion with a high and individual emphasis on problem owners
Strong knowledge on E2E functionality of Oracle CPQ
Responsible for all operational management aspects of Service Requests between the Salesforce.com and Oracle CPQ/Bigmachines CPQ or Oracle CPQ/Bigmachines CPQ to Oracle Sales Cloud
End-to-end ownership of the incidents, communication between business and support teams; issue resolution
Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Responsible for coordinating and ensuring timely updates to business
Team player and able to express clearly and convincingly, both in speech and in writing
Logical and analytical with great intellectual capacity
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle CPQ Cloud (Big Machines).
Strong expertise in software architecture design and implementation.
Experience in setting and enforcing coding standards and best practices.
