Job DetailsJob Location: Virginia - Carrollton, VA 23314Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Category: Information TechnologyBlueForce Inc. is seeking a Cyber Operations SME to provide mid-level technical expertise in defensive cyber operations (DCO), cybersecurity training, laboratory development, and hands-on instruction in support of the Royal Bahamas Defense Force (RBDF) under the DoD/DOW Counter Narcotics & Global Threats (CN>) program. *Position is subject to contract award* * The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S.* Duties and Responsibilities Develop technical training content for Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), including network defense, threat detection, security monitoring, incident response, and cyber defense operations. Translate cyber defense concepts and operational requirements into practical instructional materials, including presentations, instructor guides, student guides, technical references, demonstrations, and exercises. Develop and maintain realistic hands-on cyber defense laboratories and scenarios that replicate operational network, security, and incident-response challenges. Create, test, validate, and troubleshoot laboratory environments, ensuring exercises, technical walkthroughs, instructions, and supporting materials are functional and ready for training delivery. Integrate current cyber threats, attack techniques, defensive practices, tools, and technologies into training content to ensure materials remain accurate, current, and operationally relevant. Support instructor-led, laboratory, workshop, and practical cybersecurity training by providing technical demonstrations, hands-on instruction, student guidance, and exercise facilitation. Provide technical expertise across key cyber defense disciplines, including network security, SIEM, intrusion detection, threat analysis, incident response, endpoint security, vulnerability management, log and traffic analysis, cyber threat intelligence, and cybersecurity automation. Assist with student assessments and performance evaluations, including knowledge checks, practical assessments, troubleshooting, remediation, and additional instruction based on learner needs. Collaborate with Cyber Governance, Cyber Defense, Digital Forensics, and other SMEs to integrate technical cyber operations content, forensic elements, competency requirements, and partner-nation operational needs into broader cybersecurity curricula.  Recommend and implement curriculum and training updates based on evolving cybersecurity threats, technologies, tools, operational practices, student performance, and mission requirements.  Travel to The Bahamas for short-duration temporary duty assignments, as required. Qualifications U.S. citizen Training: Formal or specialized training in Security Operations Center (SOC) Operations, Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), threat intelligence, and hands-on cyber laboratory development. Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on and progressive experience in SOC and DCO roles, to include developing or delivering technical cyber training. Training experience must include threat hunting, SIEM, incident response and cyber lab & range development. Certifications: One or more of the following Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent International Engagement: Demonstrated experience providing international training or international engagement. Work experience must include delivering training in low-resource environments. Training Delivery: Demonstrated ability to tailor complex cyber ops concepts, defense techniques, and technical procedures for non-technical audiences, particularly law enforcement, government, policy, and governance stakeholders. Communication & Deliverables: Demonstrated experience briefing leadership and decision makers. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop professional reports, training materials, policy products, briefings, and other program deliverables for government and interagency audiences. Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to OCONUS (Bahamas) for short-duration temporary duty assignments. Preferred Qualifications Certification: GSEC/GCIH
