Want to raise the bar on performance creative?
At Right Hook, we make ads that stop the scroll, earn the click, and make our clients money.
Right Hook Digital is a performance growth team helping eCommerce founders and DTC brands scale. Our creative machine is built around one thing: producing high-performing ads at volume without letting quality fall through the floor.
We’re a performance growth team helping eCommerce founders and DTC brands scale. Our creative function is grounded one thing: produce high-performing ad creative at volume to scale our clients. And we’re looking for a Creative Production Specialist to help us do exactly that.
About the Role
The Creative Production Specialist will help us raise and embed the creative execution standard across our entire creative function.
This is a role for someone who can look at an ad and immediately see: Why does this work? Why doesn’t this work? And how do I teach someone else to see the difference?
You’ll work directly with our Head of Creative Strategy to raise the creative execution standard across our team, through training, creative audits, playbooks, frameworks and AI-enabled production workflows.
You won’t be managing a team or sitting in operational meetings, your job is to make the team better at producing great work without needing you in the room. In other words, building the capability and systems that make high-performing creative repeatable.
What you’ll do
You’ll work across our team of creatives (visual creators and creative strategists), helping each drive quality of creative craft.
1. Raise the creative execution standard:
We already have a documented benchmark for what high-converting creative looks like, you’ll help make it sharper.
You’ll identify where our current work falls short, understand why, and turn those insights into clearer standards, examples, frameworks and training that the team can actually use.
2. Build creative capability:
You know what separates average creative from high-performing creative, more importantly, you know how to teach it.
You’ll identify recurring skill and quality gaps across graphic design, video, creative execution and performance thinking, then build training programmes that actually change how people work.
That includes but is not limited to:
We’re not looking for one-off training that everyone forgets two weeks later, we want to build capability that sticks.
3. Develop creative judgement:
A big part of this role is helping our Creative Strategists develop stronger creative judgement.
You’ll help the team learn to:
The end goal is for the team to develop the judgement to make better calls themselves.
4. Push AI-enabled production forward:
AI is becoming a bigger part of how performance creative gets made, and we want to use it properly because it can help us move faster, produce more, and expand what’s possible.
You’ll help us in two ways:
*You don’t need to be an expert in every AI tool, we care much more about whether you can think in workflows, understand how tools fit together, and teach other people how to use them effectively.
What this role is not
This is not a management role, you will not be required to:
What your 8 hours per week will look like
Your time will be spread across the week and typically include:
The mix of focus will change depending on what the team needs. Some weeks will be heavier on live training, other weeks will focus on audits, building training programmes, developing AI workflows, and working with the Head of Creative Strategy to evolve the creative machine.
The first 30 days will naturally be more hands-on as we establish the execution standard and get the first training programmes moving.
We care about outcomes, not clock-watching. If the standard is rising, the team is getting better, and the output is getting stronger then you’re succeeding.
What you need to bring to this role
1. 3+ years of performance creative experience: Specifically direct-response advertising for paid social platforms such as Meta and TikTok. You’ve produced performance creative at scale and understand the realities of working across volume, testing, and performance. You understand what makes an ad convert, not just what makes an ad look good.
2. You know how to make other people better - critical to this role:
3. Comfortable with AI: You have experience with AI image generation, video generation and voiceover tools. We’re less interested in your list of tools than your ability to think in workflows.
4. Can work across AU + US time zones: Primary hours will align with AU business hours. Occasional US overlap will be required for live training sessions approximately 4-5pm AEST.
5. You have the basics: Reliable high-speed WiFi, your own laptop and a functional workspace setup.
Why Right Hook?
You’ll be joining a team that takes performance creative seriously.
We’re actively building how creative strategy, production, training and AI work together inside a performance agency.
You’ll work directly with our Head of Creative Strategy and have genuine influence over how our creative function develops.
If you’re the kind of person who gets frustrated watching good creative teams produce mediocre work because they lack the right systems, standards or training, you’ll probably enjoy this role. And if you’re excited about where performance creative and AI-enabled production are heading, there’s plenty here to build.
