New OnRamps student employee pay is $14.50 hourly. Returning OnRamps student employee pay is $15.50 hourly. Professional development completion and Returning OnRamps student employee pay is $16.00

The Geoscience Course Grader Mentor supports the OnRamps Geoscience Earth, Wind, and Fire course (GEO 302E). The Mentor employee works in close collaboration with the Geoscience Course Manager to manage the OnRamps Geoscience grading team, assist with mentoring student graders and grading calibrations, ensure timely grading and feedback of student assessments, and clerical work directly related to the OnRamps Geoscience course. The Course Support/Lead Grader employee also provides just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects.
Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading and providing feedback on course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System
Facilitates grading team meetings and grading calibrations to ensure accuracy and consistency of grading across the grading team.
Collaborates with the Geoscience Course Manager to monitor grading progress to ensure timely feedback on student work.
Attends calibration meetings and participate in training to align feedback and deepen transferrable skills
Assists with seasonal and urgent projects that align to the OnRamps mission
Current graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Geoscience
Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with Canvas LMS
Recommendation from at least one professional or academic reference
Punctual, reliable, responsible, Self-motivated
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives
Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with Learning Catalytics, MS Outlook, and/or Smartsheet
Recommendation from more than one professional or academic reference
$14.50 - $16.00 hourly
