The Executive Visibility + Medicare Advantage Communications Lead develops and executes strategic communications supporting Medicare Advantage, and other insurance  priorities, and leadership visibility across the Insurance Segment. This senior communications partner advances business priorities, leadership messaging, strategic storytelling, executive engagement, and visibility opportunities that elevate awareness, understanding, and reputation across internal and external audiences.

The role partners with Insurance Communications, business leaders, executive stakeholders, and communications partners to amplify strategic initiatives, business outcomes, leadership perspectives, and high-impact stories. It also serves as the capability owner for executive visibility across the Insurance Segment, strengthening leadership engagement and advancing a cohesive segment narrative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans supporting Medicare Advantage, select other insurance priorities, and key Insurance Segment business objectives
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to leaders on messaging, engagement opportunities, visibility strategies, and communication priorities
  • Develop executive-level communications materials including presentations, talking points, leadership messages, strategic narratives, and communication plans
  • Lead executive visibility and leadership engagement efforts for designated Insurance Segment leaders, including speaking opportunities, town halls, presentations, and strategic engagement activities
  • Partner closely with the Director of Insurance Communications to support executive visibility priorities, enterprise storytelling efforts, and leadership communications strategies
  • Collaborate across the communications team to identify, coordinate, and elevate high-impact stories, business outcomes, leadership moments, and strategic initiatives
  • Help shape and amplify a cohesive Insurance Segment narrative by connecting leadership messaging, business priorities, associate engagement efforts, and strategic storytelling opportunities
  • Partner with internal and external communications teams to identify opportunities for broader storytelling, visibility, and reputational enhancement
  • Establish and maintain executive visibility approaches, tools, and best practices that can be leveraged across the Insurance Segment
  • Ensure communications are aligned, audience-appropriate, strategically positioned, and consistent with enterprise messaging frameworks and brand standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of strategic communications, executive communications, internal communications, public relations, or related experience
  • 3+ years supporting senior leaders, executive communications, leadership engagement initiatives, or strategic business communications
  • 3+ years developing executive-level communications materials including presentations, talking points, leadership messaging, strategic narratives, and communication plans
  • Experience managing multiple communications initiatives within a complex, matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Medicare Advantage, other insurance, healthcare, insurance, operations, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience supporting executive visibility strategies, leadership engagement initiatives, executive communications programs, or thought leadership efforts
  • Experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams
  • Experience within large, complex organizations or Fortune 500 environments
  • Agency, consulting, or corporate communications experience
  • Experience supporting town halls, executive events, leadership meetings, or enterprise engagement efforts

Additional information

In this role you will report to the Director, Corporate Communications.

In this role you will have up to 10% travel based on business need.

In this role you will be an individual contributor.

This role is remote within the US.

 

 

 

Work at Home Requirements To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
