Manage the editorial layer for multiple client accounts by prompting, reviewing, and refining high-volume content generated by AI and junior contributors. Ensure all deliverables across various formats are on-brand, accurate, and delivered against firm deadlines.
Bullseye Strategy is a fully remote digital marketing agency. We are looking for a Content Production Editor who pairs sharp editorial judgment with the speed and stamina to produce high-quality work at volume. You will own the editorial layer across multiple client accounts: prompting, reviewing, rewriting, refining, and elevating content that originates from AI tools, junior contributors, and internal briefs.
Please read the next section carefully before applying. It is the most important part of this posting.
This role will require you to do a timed writing test for multiple pieces of content.
What this role actually demands (read this first)
This is a high-output production role, not a slow-craft editorial one. On a typical day, you will:
- Move between 14+ active client accounts, each with its own brand voice, audience, and standards
- Switch rapidly between formats (social posts, blogs, ad copy, email, landing pages)
- Produce and turn around a high volume of deliverables against firm deadlines, on the order of +/-15 pieces per week
- Carry the administrative load that comes with that volume: tracking assignments, logging status, maintaining prompt libraries, and keeping many projects organized at once
This role is probably not the right fit if you
- Prefer to spend time on one or two pieces rather than turning around many
- Need a quiet, single-threaded workflow with few interruptions
- Are looking for a primarily strategic, managerial, or single-account role
- Have not worked at the pace of a client-services agency before
You will likely thrive here if you
- Move quickly without sacrificing quality
- Stay organized across many moving parts and rarely miss a deadline
- Are energized by switching between clients and formats throughout the day
- Treat AI as a force multiplier and have the editorial judgment to catch what it gets wrong
Hard requirements
- Marketing agency experience. You have worked in an agency setting and understand client-services pace, multiple concurrent accounts, and billable expectations. In-house-only experience will not be considered for this role.
- Located in the East or Central time zone.
- 2 to 4 years of editing or copywriting experience.
- A track record of meeting deadlines under a high-volume workload. You can speak to the actual throughput you have sustained.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and similar) for real content production, not just awareness of them.
- A portfolio demonstrating diverse writing and editing samples across multiple formats.
Responsibilities
This is a simplified list of day-to-day tasks meant to convey the scope of the role. Additional duties as required and assigned.
Content creation and AI
- Use LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others) to draft and iterate on content across formats: social posts, blogs, ad copy, email, landing pages, and more
- Write, refine, and maintain a library of tested, client-specific prompts that produce consistent, on-brand output
- Evaluate new AI tools for agency adoption and advise the team on best practices
Editorial and quality control
- Review, rewrite, and elevate AI-generated content so it is on-brand, accurate, and free of the hallmarks of unedited AI output (generic phrasing, factual drift, tonal inconsistency, AI slop, formulaic sentences, etc.)
- Maintain brand voice accuracy across multiple client accounts with varying tones and audiences
- Proofread final deliverables and fact-check claims, especially in long-form content
Administrative and operational
- Manage your own queue across multiple clients, keeping many concurrent projects organized and on schedule
- Track assignment status and keep account teams informed on where deliverables stand
- Maintain shared resources such as prompt libraries and brand voice references
Email marketing (preferred, not required)
Experience with HubSpot or Mailchimp will strengthen your candidacy, but is not required for a strong editor.
- Build and deploy email campaigns, including copy, layout, segmentation, and send logic
- Write subject lines, preview text, and body copy optimized for opens and click-throughs, and iterate based on performance
- Analyze and report on performance.
Skills and abilities
- Exceptional editing: strong command of grammar, tone, and brand voice, with the consistency and attention to detail to maintain it across multiple formats and client accounts
- SEO knowledge, including keyword optimization and best practices
- WordPress and content scheduling platform familiarity
- Comfort learning new tools and platforms quickly
- Collaboration across cross-functional teams and openness to constructive feedback
- Self-starter who identifies opportunities and solves problems independently
How success is measured
- Delivering all assigned content on time and to quality standards, consistently, at the expected volume
- Maintaining brand voice accuracy across all client accounts
- Using AI tools effectively to improve efficiency and output quality
- Demonstrating growth in both editorial skill and AI tool fluency
- Contributing ideas that strengthen client campaigns
- Building strong working relationships with team members and freelancers
Company Benefits
- Medical, Dental, Vision
- 401k with match after 3 months
- Unlimited PTO
- Paid holidays
- Equipment provided
