About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused Content Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of Unravel's Content team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the content pipeline—from sourcing and review through quality control and delivery—while managing a growing team of content executives and interns.


The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing people, improving processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and making operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.

This is an operations-first leadership role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong creative judgment, and the ability to build and scale efficient workflows.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Content Executives and Content Interns.
  • Allocate daily work and prioritize team tasks based on business needs.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.



Content Operations

  • Manage the end-to-end content sourcing pipeline.
  • Coordinate with creators and external content partners.
  • Ensure content moves efficiently through review and production stages.
  • Monitor team productivity and workload distribution.
  • Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve operational workflows.



Quality Assurance

  • Review and approve content against Unravel's editorial standards.
  • Ensure consistency in content quality across all destinations and creators.
  • Maintain metadata accuracy and content organization.
  • Work closely with the Editing team to ensure seamless handoffs and delivery.



Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Data, Editing, Marketing, and Growth teams to execute content initiatives.
  • Coordinate priority projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate content requirements and operational updates across teams.



Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Track key operational metrics including productivity, acceptance rates, turnaround time, and content coverage.
  • Prepare regular reports on team performance and pipeline health.
  • Document and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.



Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 4–5 years of experience in Content Operations, Content Management, Digital Media, Creative Operations, or similar roles.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to improve workflows.



Preferred

  • Experience working in travel, media, creator economy, digital publishing, or content platforms.
  • Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
  • Experience working with content metadata and large content libraries.
  • Understanding of AI-assisted content workflows.
  • Experience working with distributed or freelance creative teams.
