Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are a multi-platform production company, social media agency, and digital media network who are currently on a quest to find a YouTube Content Manager to join our Network team on a fully remote basis.

As an experienced and highly skilled YouTube Content Manager, you will run multiple channels for our Network Channels Team. The department includes channels dedicated to true crime, premium documentaries, classic movies, wildlife, history, science, reality and lifestyle so an interest and passion across these topics will be beneficial.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME 

  • Day to day channel management of several key YouTube channels, including taking responsibility for examining analytics and suggesting actionable insights.

  • Actively contribute to the content strategy for managed channels and collaborate on consistent schedules with Programming Manager to give audiences the content they want.

  • Title, copywriting and optimisation of content to maximise performance and engagement while resonating with the target audience.

  • Ownership of bespoke thumbnail creation and SEO-optimised metadata to engage with existing and new audiences, including using cutting edge tools such as generative AI to improve quality and scale of our metadata.

  • Work with graphic designers to select key images to create eye catching thumbnails.

  • Assist Programming and Performance Managers to prepare reports and business reviews to department senior staff, explaining channel performance and ensuring that these are contributing to company goals.

  • Suggest new channels and subgenres to develop and launch.

  • Basic video editing on an as-needed basis and creation of images/designs to be posted to YouTube.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Knowledge of Editing Software: Competent in most features and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot common issues.

  • Platform Expertise: Has a good knowledge of platform algorithms and features, optimising content with moderate effectiveness.

  • Insight and Performance Management: Analyses platform metrics and identifies key trends to suggest basic optimisations.

  • Content Editing: Edits videos and thumbnails for multiple platforms, adapting content to various aspect ratios while maintaining visual quality across formats. Utilises advanced techniques to enhance video appeal and optimises both videos and thumbnails to boost engagement.

  • SEO knowledge: Develops SEO-optimised metadata aligned with content strategy and audience interests to boost engagement, while familiarizing with content strategy tools such as A/B testing and TubeBuddy.
