The Consultant Psychiatrist will conduct thorough ADHD assessments for adults and young people while developing personalized treatment plans. They will also collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical supervision and contribute to the development of clinical pathways.

The role
As a self-employed Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate diagnoses and shaping personalised care plans.
You’ll work autonomously within a supportive, expert multidisciplinary team, bringing your clinical judgment and empathy to every assessment.
What we ask you to do
Conduct thorough ADHD assessments for adults and young people, considering co-occurring or differential diagnoses
Use your clinical expertise to make diagnostic decisions and develop tailored treatment plans
Collaborate in regular clinical supervision, team discussions, and case reviews
Maintain clear, professional records and complete timely reports
Identify and recommend additional assessments or interventions where needed
Contribute to the development of our clinical pathways
Share your knowledge by mentoring and training colleagues
What you will need to be successful
You will have extensive clinical experience in General Adult Mental Health Services, with a broad diagnostic knowledge and additional specialised experience in ND assessments (training and clinical experience.)
Medical degree with a postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent)
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry
Minimum of two years post-CCT practice in General Adult psychiatry
Experience working autonomously within multidisciplinary clinical services
Good understanding of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in mental health services
In-depth knowledge of evidence-based assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and ASD and other general adult conditions
Ability to adapt to digital remote clinical service delivery models
