We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager (m/f/d), based in Germany or Italy, to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities for the construction and mechanical installation of industrial water treatment plants across the EMEA region. You will ensure safe, timely, and budget-compliant execution while meeting contractual, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Process, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)
- Strong experience in site management and mechanical installation of piping and equipment, ideally in water or wastewater treatment
- Knowledge of construction processes, assembly techniques, rigging, and lifting of equipment
- Material expertise in plastics (PP/HDPE/PVC-U/PVDF), carbon and stainless steel piping, and welding/ installation techniques
- Basic knowledge of NavisWorks for 3D model navigation; MS Project or Primavera for scheduling
- Strong supplier management, project coordination, and communication skills
- Familiarity with water treatment plant standards (e.g., DIN ISO, DVS, ASME)
- Willingness to travel across the EMEA region
- Language skills: English fluent; Italian and/or German are a plus
- Plan, manage, and supervise all on-site construction activities, focusing on mechanical works, equipment delivery, installation, and site logistics
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical and civil installation activities to ensure seamless execution
- Control and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors, resolving site constraints and interface issues
- Ensure technical compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and installation methods for piping and equipment
- Act as primary on-site contact for clients, authorities, engineering partners, and internal teams
- Maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions
- Enforce HSE regulations and ensure compliance of all personnel and subcontractors
- Monitor costs, resource usage, and supplier performance; support budget tracking
- Prepare accurate site records, progress reports, inspection reports, and as-built documentation
- Deliver high-quality installation with minimal errors, rework, and delays
