We are seeking a motivated and experienced Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant South African legislation and regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks
- Conduct regular internal compliance audits and risk assessments
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance requirements
- Manage FICA, POPIA, and FAIS compliance processes where applicable
- Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies
- Stay current with legislative changes and communicate their impact to the business
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role
- Strong knowledge of South African financial services or business regulation
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to ethical conduct
- Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical policies
- Strong communication skills with regulators and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage compliance deadlines independently in a remote setting
- Degree in Law, Commerce, Risk Management, or related field preferred
Salary: R38,000/month | 100% Remote
