Compliance Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance across our organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant South African legislation and regulations
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks
• Conduct regular internal compliance audits and risk assessments
• Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance requirements
• Manage FICA, POPIA, and FAIS compliance processes where applicable
• Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies
• Stay current with legislative changes and communicate their impact to the business

Qualifications and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role
• Strong knowledge of South African financial services or business regulation
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to ethical conduct
• Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical policies
• Strong communication skills with regulators and internal stakeholders
• Ability to manage compliance deadlines independently in a remote setting
• Degree in Law, Commerce, Risk Management, or related field preferred

Salary: R38,000/month | 100% Remote
