Core responsibilities & impact areas
1. Community growth, acquisition & retention
Strategic pipeline management: build and manage a robust pipeline to consistently expand the PCMA community across target segments and key APAC cities.
Omnichannel engagement: develop and execute integrated recruitment and engagement strategies across digital channels, email, phone, and in-person experiences to hit retention and growth targets.
Commercial drive: actively promote, pitch, and secure high-value group memberships within target organisations.
Seamless onboarding: own the end-to-end member experience journey, ensuring inquiries, onboarding, and joining processes are frictionless and high-quality.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Volunteer Leadership
Advisory & volunteer support: support working groups within the PCMA APAC Advisory Board and local volunteer networks to bring regional and local initiatives to life.
Grassroots collaboration: partner with Collective Leaders across various cities, providing the backend infrastructure and logistical support needed to deliver vibrant, community-driven initiatives.
Volunteer motivation: align, manage, and inspire volunteers to advance PCMA’s regional objectives.
3. Event management, networking & digital communities
On-the-ground connector: act as a dynamic relationship-builder at PCMA events, inducting newcomers and bridging connections between stakeholders.
Premium event curation: build deep community relationships to curate and manage relevant programming, exclusive invitation lists for by-invitation programs and high-level events.
Operational excellence: provide end-to-end operational support for all APAC events (annual conferences, local community events, webinars, and partner events), including registration, pre-event logistics, onsite execution, and post-event follow-ups.
Digital community moderation: maintain a vibrant presence on the PCMA online community platform, steering conversation starters alongside member-advocates.
4. Global Alignment & Performance Analytics
Global Collaboration: liaise regularly with PCMA headquarters to align on new campaigns, ensuring communications are regionally relevant while avoiding duplication.
Data-driven reporting: track, analyze, and report weekly performance metrics against regional growth goals with accuracy and precision.
QualificationsWhat You Bring to the Team
Experience: 5+ years of progressive growth in a similar or related position, with a proven track record. Experience working with volunteers is highly valued.
Education: A Diploma or higher degree in Business, Communications or a related field.
Global mindset: a personal interest and professional experience in global business relationships, with a deep cultural understanding and focus on the APAC region.
Communication & service: exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with an innate ability to articulate value propositions clearly to stakeholders.
Project & detail mastery: highly organized with exposure to project tracking and a basic budget tracking skills, meticulous organisation, an eye for detail, and a strong sense of accountability.
Technical savvy: proficiency in standard office applications, database management, with an open attitude towards a balanced human-AI synergistic workflow.
Flexibility: A collaborative team player who is excited to work internationally and open to attending video calls/meetings outside of standard hours to bridge global time zones.
Position Details
Employment type: 4-day work week (with opportunity to move into 5-day work week, if desired)
Remuneration: Up to AUD 100,000 excluding superannuation and variable performance bonus
Location: Remote (based in Sydney, Australia)
Travel Requirements: Occasional domestic travel is required to support community-driven initiatives or attend industry events. Regional and international travel may be required once-twice a year. (Estimate 10-15% across a year)
