Role Summary

Hands-on Cloud Operations SME responsible for AWS cloud operations, incident resolution, infrastructure changes, compliance support, automation initiatives and continuous service improvement. The role will proactively identify operational gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities while supporting the organization's CloudOps and SRE journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day AWS infrastructure support and operational administration.

  • Resolve incidents, service requests, and support major incident recovery activities.

  • Participate in RCA activities and implement corrective actions.

  • Execute approved infrastructure changes and deployment activities.

  • Support patching, vulnerability remediation, IAM, and disaster recovery activities.

  • Identify process gaps, operational bottlenecks, and automation opportunities.

  • Recommend improvements to SOPs, workflows, and support procedures.

  • Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational documentation.

  • Provide technical inputs for governance reviews, risk discussions, and service reporting.

Required Skills

  • 6-8 years of Infrastructure / Cloud Operations experience.

  • 5+ years supporting AWS environments (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, Route53).

  • Linux Administration and strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.

  • ITIL process awareness and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Terraform, CloudFormation, Python/Shell scripting, Azure or GCP exposure, AWS Certifications and ITIL Foundation.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Operations SME with 6-8 years of experience to support AWS cloud operations, incident management, infrastructure changes, automation initiatives, and operational improvements. The role will be responsible for maintaining service stability, resolving technical issues, supporting compliance activities, and identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and efficiency. The position aligns with the organization's cloud operations and SRE transformation journey.


Key Responsibilities

Cloud Operations

  • Support day-to-day AWS infrastructure operations.
  • Perform provisioning, decommissioning, and administration activities.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and service requests.
  • Ensure operational stability and platform readiness.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Resolve infrastructure incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Support major incident recovery and service restoration activities.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions.

Change & Release Support

  • Execute approved infrastructure and platform changes.
  • Support deployments and post-implementation validation.
  • Participate in change review and CAB activities as required.

Security & Compliance

  • Support patching, vulnerability remediation, IAM, and access management activities.
  • Assist with audit, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery exercises.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
  • Identify repetitive manual activities suitable for automation.
  • Highlight process gaps, operational bottlenecks, and service risks.
  • Recommend improvements to SOPs, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Support implementation of approved improvements.

Documentation & Governance Support

  • Maintain technical SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
  • Provide technical inputs for service reviews and operational reporting.
  • Support risk identification, action tracking, and transition activities.

Required Skills

Mandatory

  • 6-8 years of Infrastructure / Cloud Operations experience.
  • 3+ years supporting AWS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
  • Linux Administration.
  • ITIL-based Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Preferred

  • Terraform / CloudFormation exposure.
  • Python or Shell scripting.
  • Azure or GCP exposure.
  • AWS Certification and/or ITIL Foundation.
