About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, architect, and support scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to enable rapid software delivery, automate deployments, and ensure systems meet security and performance requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Design and architect cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP, focused on scalability, performance, and resilience.

• Build, run, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, and design solutions using containerization and microservices architecture.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build and Jenkins.

• Define cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices, mainly with Terraform.

• Manage data integration and ETL workflows across cloud and hybrid platforms.

• Establish, implement, and uphold cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, and align with TELUS security standards.

• Set up and maintain observability and monitoring using tools like Grafana and Prometheus.

What You’ll Need

• 7+ years of experience designing and architecting cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices architecture

• Proven experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or similar platforms

• Deep knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform

• Experience with data integration and ETL processes across multiple platforms

• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, and TELUS security standards

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
