Clinical Services Business Analyst

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Clinical Services Business Analyst to join the Performance Advisory Office! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY, IN, or an approved remote location that must be verified.

This is not a developer role:  The primary focus of this role is to serve as a trusted advisor to assigned hospital-based business and service line leaders. This position partners directly with operational, clinical, financial, and administrative stakeholders to understand business needs, locate and interpret data (EMR and other systems), and translate findings into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, operational excellence, quality improvement, patient care outcomes, and organizational performance.

This position will support assigned service lines through the development of KPI’s, performance monitoring, opportunity identification, and executive-level insights. Particular emphasis will be placed on helping leaders understand trends, evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and make informed decisions that advance service line priorities.

Success in this role requires more than developing dashboards or fulfilling report requests. The Analyst is expected to build strong stakeholder relationships, understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and guide leaders in applying data and findings to real-world business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 or more years Healthcare experience required.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and data storytelling skills.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with business, operational, clinical, financial, or service line stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, present findings, and recommend actions.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational needs into effective analytics solutions.
• Experience developing technical requirements for reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
• Experience validating data, performing data analysis, and supporting organizational decision-making.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting hospital-based service lines, clinical operations, ambulatory operations, procedural areas, access initiatives, quality improvement, financial performance, or strategic planning.
• Project management and change management experience preferred.
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, Strata, SQL, data warehouses, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills, including performance measurement, trend analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, and opportunity assessment.
• Experience analyzing service line financial, operational, quality, access, volume, utilization, and patient outcome data.
