Summary
Under the direction of the Director of HealthDyne Specialty Pharmacy, the Clinical Operations Pharmacist will be proficient in performing all specialty clinical pharmacist activities.  The Clinical Operations pharmacist will support leadership in guiding, training, and developing clinical staff to meet the needs of clients and ensure compliance with accreditations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and lead initiatives that apply data science to improve pharmacy and specialty pharmacy workflows, patient engagement, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Ability and knowledge to perform operations and clinical duties assigned to pharmacists
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, particularly during times of peak volumes
  • Work with leadership to prepare and assist with the maintenance of pharmacy accreditations
  • Assist with resolving clinical issues and requests from clients and leadership
  • Support clinical operations with the application of analytics and reporting
  • Complete clinical operations and compliance projects
  • Communicate effectively with departments outside of the pharmacy
  • Assist with monitoring and assigning tasks within the clinical operations queues to ensure quality, production, and service levels are being met
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills by identifying exceptions and assisting with the resolutions
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA
Education and Experience
  • BS Pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
  • Active/Clear License to practice Pharmacy
  • Ability to become licensed in multiple states as required
  • 2 Years of Specialty Pharmacy Experience required
  • Specialty pharmacist certification, CSP is strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate leadership by knowing and supporting the mission, vision and corporate values of the organization
  • Be able to address and respond to client requests professionally
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented
  • Ability to work efficiently without creating distractions or disruption to other employees
  • Ability to relate well and communicate effectively with employees, patients, leadership, and clients
  • Ability to work well with team members and leadership accomplishing goals with little to no supervision
  • Strong organizational and Analytics skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be dependable and maintain levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to interpret complex accreditation requirements and ensure clinical operations are aligned to meet set criteria, ie. URAC, ACHC
  • Knowledge of all pharmacy software applications
  • Knowledge of e-mail, fax transmission and copy equipment
  • Ability to assist in the completion and presentation of clinical programs to leadership and clients
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
