JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary

Provides support for Molina enterprise-wide employee clinical training facilitation activities.  Delivers training programs for clinical staff across the enterprise to orient employees to Molina's clinical methodology, policies, processes, and systems.  Ensures all Molina clinical team members are positioned to improve quality, control medical costs, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.  Facilitates classes - adapting to trainee skill level, specific backgrounds, changing priorities, and operating environments as needed.  Training includes clinical new employee orientation, implementations, partnerships on clinical initiatives, technical/system initiatives, and optimization efforts.

 

Essential Job Duties

• Facilitates clinical learning through classroom instruction, virtual training, and coaching.  Training activities include new employee orientation, implementations, partnerships on technical/system initiatives, optimization efforts, and ongoing/annual employee training.
• Facilitates clinical virtual instructor-led training (VILT) sessions while applying adult learning principles.
• Prepares the learning environment for classroom setup, systems setup, course materials, media, and online learning; provides education on proper clinical judgment and approaches to decision-making.
• Provides best practices for working as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Educates integrated care teams on effective collaboration to improve member quality of life and cost control.
• Trains healthcare services staff on professional standards of documentation; re-educates staff via group facilitation and/or individual coaching when performance gaps are identified.
• Monitors learner engagement, attendance, and participation during training sessions, providing timely feedback to leadership on issues that arise during training sessions.
• Leverages training feedback and best practices in training delivery/learning concepts to continuously improve training to ensure desired employee learning and performance outcomes are achieved.
• Participates in committees and/or workgroups as a liaison between the training team and workgroup to ensure alignment and influence best practices.
• Provides feedback on course materials and activities to the instructional design team for improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with leaders, team members, subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders to ensure that learning content/development meets desired training objectives and is delivered timely.
• Supports training efforts for enterprise growth and new clinical programs or systems.
• Reinforces key behaviors through post-training support, coaching, and calibration.
 

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in clinical training, education, development, design, training technology, or a related field, including at least 2 years of experience facilitating training in a professional setting, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Training delivery experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coach others and improve facilitator performance.
• Familiarity with adult learning theory and learner-centered facilitation.
• Experience using virtual delivery tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
• Experience organizing/preparing courses for in person or virtual learning.
• Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
• Relationship building skills.   
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal, written, active listening, and presentation skills.  
• Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs proficiency.
 

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical licensure.  If licensed, license must be active and unrestricted in state of practice.
