Are you looking to escape the relentless pressure of business development, marketing, and heavy administrative tasks? Do you want actual flexibility without sacrificing a meaningful practice?
Located in fast-growing Bastrop County, Texas, Bastrop Law Group is seeking a productive, skilled, and collaborative Civil Litigation Attorney. We are a community-rooted firm serving local property and small business owners in estate planning, probate, guardianship, real estate, and small business services.
We run our firm like a business, fostering a collaborative culture focused on feedback, accountability, and individual strengths. Our dedicated operations team handles the marketing, business development, and heavy admin, leaving you free to focus entirely on legal work and client advocacy.
What You Will Do:

- Represent landlords in eviction proceedings and lease disputes.
- Lead small business litigation matters.
Transactional Real Estate:
- Draft and review provisions for leases, easements, and right-of-way agreements.
- Handle utility easement negotiations.
- Manage real estate transactions, deed reviews, title reviews, and curative title work.
- Prepare residential and commercial purchase/sale agreements, earnest money contracts, and closing documents.
Client Work & Collaboration:
- Meet directly with clients to strategize and manage expectations.
- Partner with the operations team on matter management and document production.
- Delegate and review paralegal work product effectively.
Qualifications & Traits:
Required:
- Active Texas Law License with demonstrated civil litigation experience.
- Strong Tech Literacy: Willingness to learn and adopt practice management software, AI tools, and the Microsoft Suite.

Preferred:
- Direct experience handling probate and real estate litigation.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong plus.
Who Thrives Here:
- Attorneys who prefer practicing law over doing administrative work or constant networking.
- Professionals who are comfortable being measured by productivity and performance, not just physical presence.
- Agile thinkers who can seamlessly shift between transactional work and active litigation.
This Position is NOT a Fit If:
- You are unwilling to keep accurate time.
- You are uncomfortable receiving feedback or being managed by a "non-lawyer" business professional.
- You are unwilling to commute to the Bastrop office or local courts as needed.
- You resist change, technology adoption, or continuous process improvement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $85,000 - $150,000 (Commensurate with experience and client base).
- Performance Bonus: Transparent structure tied directly to performance metrics.
- Health Insurance: Firm contribution toward individual health coverage (details provided at offer).
- Paid Time Off (PTO): 2 weeks PTO plus Bastrop County court holidays.
