In this fast-moving environment, the CEO needs a Chief of Staff (CoS)—the execution and delivery engine. This role is focused on turning high-level decisions into finished results, ensuring that no tasks are left incomplete, deadlines are met, and projects are driven to final execution across the portfolio.
The Chief of Staff protects the CEO’s time by resolving operational issues independently and ensuring that only critical, high-impact matters are escalated to the CEO.
Deadline Enforcement: Drives timelines across all startups and projects, partnering with C-level owners to ensure key deliverables are completed on time and do not fall through the cracks.
Closing Open Loops: Rigorously monitors unfinished items from leadership discussions, ensuring every initiative has a clear owner and a definitive deadline.
Smart Escalation Management: Acts as the primary filter for operational bottlenecks, resolving challenges independently and escalating only fully-briefed, strategic options to the CEO.
Operationalizing Strategy: Bridges the gap between high-level strategy and reality, ensuring new workflows, internal policies, or org chart changes are actively embedded into daily practice.
Governance & Meeting RoI: Designs and governs the agendas for meetings chaired by the CEO, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and high-value materials are prepared for decision-making.
Driving Accountability: Owns the post-meeting execution loop; translates leadership decisions into actionable ownership and systematically holds senior stakeholders accountable throughout the week to maintain momentum.
The CEO's Strategic Proxy: Acts as an extension of the CEO, clearly cascading operational directives to the leadership team and alignment across business units.
Proven experience in Project Management, Delivery Management, or Operations Coordination within a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience working directly with a CEO or Founder as an executive right hand, Chief of Staff, or dedicated operations lead, with a track record of successfully driving a founder's strategic priorities to completion.
