The Centralized Scheduler coordinates outpatient ancillary visits, surgical tests, and inpatient discharge follow-ups. They ensure patient safety by scheduling procedures according to best practices and electronic request orders.
The Centralized Scheduler works under the supervision of the Director or Manager to schedule outpatient ancillary visits, the coordination of tests/procedures for Surgical Services, as well as Inpatient Discharge follow up visits. Schedules patient visits through the completion of electronic request order. Properly ensures patient safety by coordinating patient tests according to best practice. Clinical experience preferred (i.e. LPN, physician's office personnel). This position has no direct physical contact with patients. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
