Provide individualized career coaching and readiness support to a cohort of students through one-on-one appointments and workshops. Help students translate their liberal arts education into professional opportunities across various industry communities.

Job Description:

Have you enjoyed mentoring students, interns, or early-career professionals throughout your career? Are you looking for meaningful part-time work that helps students build confidence, explore career paths, and prepare for life after college?

Hamilton College has long been a leader in higher education, with the Maurice Horowitch Career Center driving that impact. Through the launch of Career Communities, the Center has unified its strengths: industry-specific coaching and employer and alumni connections, and our foundational career development curriculum, into a cohesive model that supports students from exploration through outcomes. We are seeking a part-time Career Advisor to join our collaborative team and support students as they explore career options, develop professional skills, and pursue internships, jobs, and graduate school opportunities. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring experience in one or more of Hamilton's career communities, including Finance/Consulting, Government and Law, Social Impact, Technology, Arts and Communications, Science and Health, or Education. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule working approximately 15–17 hours per week (maximum 909 hours annually) with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' career journeys.
