USRowing selects, trains, and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition. The organization serves multiple constituencies including novice learn-to-rowers, parents of rowers, masters rowers, adaptive rowers, collegiate rowers, indoor rowers and, most recently, coastal rowers.

Position Summary Job Summary: The Camps and Athlete Development Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of USRowing’s Camps and Athlete Development programs. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration and logistics of Development Camps, including Pathways Development Camp, Selection Development Camp, ID Camps, Para Development Camps, and Masters Camps. The Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for athletes, parents, coaches, and staff, supporting clear communication and a consistent, high-quality camp experience. The position also provides on-site support at camps and works closely with the Camps and Athlete Development team to ensure programs are organized, efficient, and aligned with USRowing’s athlete development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary communication point for parents, athletes, and camp stakeholders, delivering clear, timely, and enthusiastic updates about camp logistics, expectations, and opportunities.
  • Help athletes and families feel welcomed, informed, and excited to engage in the USRowing Pathway.
  • Support logistical planning for all Development Camps, including registration oversight, travel coordination, accommodation details, and pre-camp documentation.
  • Coordinate and provide on-site support at camps, assisting with day-to-day operations, athlete logistics, and event execution.
  • Collaborate with coaches and directors to ensure smooth day-to-day execution of all camp operations.
  • Help maintain alignment between ID Camps, Development Camps, and the broader USRowing High Performance Pathway.
  • Assist in tracking athlete information, evaluations, and camp progression.
  • Contribute to a positive, athlete-centered developmental environment that reflects USRowing values.
  • Represent USRowing with professionalism and enthusiasm when interacting with families, clubs, and local hosts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; degrees or experience in sport management, exercise science, sport psychology, coaching, kinesiology, or athlete development–related fields preferred.
  • Rowing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident managing parent and athlete inquiries.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works well both independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Passion for athlete development and interest in high-performance sport.


Compensation/Benefits:  $47,000-$55,000 annual salary
