Business Growth & Finance Lead

We're Cielo Costa – a 30-person technology consultancy working fully-remotely across the UK, Pakistan, India, Tunisia, and the Philippines.

Right now, finance and most general ops sit on our CEO's desk - and he'd rather it didn't. This role takes it off him completely. But we're not looking for someone to build process for its own sake. We're looking for someone who makes the business move faster.

What you'll own

• Finance as a growth lever, not a scorecard. Turn client and project data into a clear view of where we should be investing time, people, and money - and make the case for it. This isn't reporting after the fact; it's shaping decisions before we make them.

• Deal velocity. Contract reviews, statements of work for clients, employees, contractors with a bias towards action not covering every edge case. Enough legal grounding to spot a genuine problem; enough commercial judgment to know which issues are worth fighting and which aren't.

• Day-to-day finance, so it's handled, improved, less manual and never a bottleneck: the accountancy relationship, cash, payroll.

• The unglamorous stuff that keeps people paid and protected - policies, insurance, benefits - done efficiently, not built into ceremony.

What you'll bring

• A finance or general-ops background, ideally startup or professional-services, where you were the person unblocking deals and decisions, not the person adding checkpoints.

• Comfortable with ambiguity - you'll take a position and defend it rather than waiting for consensus or perfect data.

• Familiarity with utilisation and time-and-materials models.

• Financially literate end-to-end - equally happy running payroll or building a profitability model.

• Working legal fluency - you've read enough contracts to know what actually matters, and you're not precious about the rest.

• Genuine fluency with AI and automation tools - you use them to move faster, not to build more process.
