The Business Development Lead is responsible for expanding the customer base in the Canadian automotive dealership market through strategic planning and relationship management. They will identify new business opportunities, create ROI proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure product delivery.
Job Summary:
The Business Development Leader is responsible for developing and managing relationships with respective market customers within the automotive space, identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the automotive respective market.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision withing the Dealership business as it relates to Canada.
- Understand customer needs and requirements, and provide solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and generate leads and proposals for new programs and projects.
- Create Business ROI proposals to assist the sales team close deals in a timely and profitable manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such md operations, Protex Corporate and at times, TM's to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of products and services.
- Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to support product development and innovation.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in the automotive industry.
- 18+ years old with 2 years of driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive respective market, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- Willingness and ability to travel between 30% and 50% of the time.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must meet insurability requirements under the company’s motor vehicle insurance policy.
