Business Architect – P&C Insurance / Instanda
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Architect with deep Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain expertise and strong knowledge of the Instanda platform. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring business objectives, operating models, and product requirements are translated into scalable insurance solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting, claims, policy administration, and digital transformation initiatives, along with the ability to drive business process design and solution definition.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead business architecture activities for P&C insurance transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and product requirements.
• Define business capabilities, target operating models, business processes, and customer journeys.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Translate business requirements into functional and solution requirements for delivery teams.
• Partner with Instanda solution teams to ensure business requirements align with platform capabilities and best practices.
• Support insurance product configuration, process design, and implementation planning.
• Define and document business processes, workflows, business rules, and operating procedures.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend optimized business solutions.
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, architects, and SMEs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support change management, business readiness, and user adoption activities.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, governance standards, and organizational policies.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Product Management, or Insurance Consulting.
• Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain expertise.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Instanda implementations or insurance product platforms.
• Deep understanding of:
- Underwriting
- Claims
- Policy Administration
- Billing

• Experience defining business capabilities, operating models, and business processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience leading business workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Instanda product implementations.
• Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar insurance platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience supporting insurance modernization and digital transformation programs.
• Relevant insurance, business analysis, or architecture certifications.
