Own Costa Rica’s growth agenda by forecasting sales, diagnosing growth drivers and blockers, and developing and executing commercial plans. Set promotional and pricing strategies, coordinate with regional teams, and monitor performance and profitability across categories, campaigns, and channels.
We are looking for our next Business Analyst Cost Rica!
Who Are We?
At Tiendamia, we’re more than just an online store. We’re the epicenter of e-commerce, where creativity and technology converge to provide unique shopping experiences to our customers in Latin America. We’re bold, innovative, and constantly evolving. If you’re ready to join a team that pushes boundaries, your next adventure begins here!
We know that to create incredible experiences, the most important thing is to have the best team and the best Tigers, and that’s why we are looking for you.
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to drive Tiendamia’s growth in Costa Rica. This is not a role where your output is a weekly report. It’s a role for someone who sees a gap between forecast and actual and immediately thinks about why it happened and what to do about it, and has the commercial judgment to make it happen. You’ll own the country’s growth agenda end-to-end: diagnosis, planning, promotional strategy, execution with regional teams, and learning from results.
What you’ll do
● Build and update the sales forecast (GMV, orders, AOV, units) by category and campaign, explaining deviations and proposing corrective actions
● Diagnose the main growth drivers and blockers in the country: traffic, conversion, average ticket, acquisition, retention, and category mix
● Build monthly and quarterly growth plans with priorities, hypotheses, estimated impact, owners, and deadlines
● Define the site’s commercial and promotional strategy (discounts, bundles, deals, financial benefits, cashback), estimating revenue and margin impact before launch and measuring results after
● Manage dynamic pricing and margins with the Pricing team, analyzing elasticity and keeping our value proposition competitive
● Define the monthly and quarterly commercial calendar with Marketing, set targets for each action (GMV, margin, conversion), and make sure promotions are implemented correctly onsite
● Monitor key KPIs (GMV, margin, conversion, AOV, units per order) by category, campaign, and channel, and turn them into executive reports focused on commercial impact and profitability
Must have
● Experience in e-commerce, retail, or digital businesses
● Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
● Experience in commercial planning and margin tracking
● Background in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
● Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing (Performance, CRM, Branding), Pricing, Sourcing/Category, Operations/Logistics, and Finance
Nice to have
● Cross-border e-commerce or B2C marketplace experience (Amazon, Mercado Libre)
● Hands-on experience designing and evaluating promotional campaigns
● Pricing, elasticity, or margin optimization experience
● Knowledge of the Costa Rican consumer market
We foster an inclusive environment where every voice is heard, and where each team member has the opportunity to grow and thrive.
Non-negotiable traits
● Doesn’t just flag deviations: proposes solutions and gets people moving on them
● Looks for sustainable growth, not just the next promo
● Makes decisions based on data, and knows what’s behind every number
● Plans and executes on their own, with a full-business view
What you’ll find here
Real ownership of a country’s growth · Direct impact on GMV and profitability · Close work with regional Marketing, Pricing, Category, and Finance teams · Ownership: if you plan it, you own the results.
