The Business Analyst is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of services directly related to the customer’s overarching mission.  This role is critical to shaping and optimizing enterprise-level Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) strategies, ensuring alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) objectives and USAF readiness goals. This role requires extensive business analysis expertise with specific experience in Department of Defense (DoD) maintenance systems and complex requirements management. The Business Analyst will be the primary requirements expert for a cross-functional team transforming maintenance data into predictive decision support tools. You will define and manage all project requirements, develop comprehensive user stories, engage directly with stakeholders, and lead user acceptance testing activities. This position demands deep expertise in eliciting, documenting, and validating complex requirements in depot maintenance environments. Additionally, the Business Analyst will: Support a cross-functional team transforming maintenance data into predictive decision support tools Define and manage all project requirements Develop comprehensive user stories Work with key stakeholders Lead user acceptance testing activities Support PMO in analytics coordination, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) management, and documentation Function as a liaison between IT and users and has both business and technical expertise Perform as a specialist on complex technical and business matters Work as a highly independent role QualificationsRequired Skills The Business Analyst must be an expert requirements practitioner with specific experience in DoD maintenance environments. This individual brings mature analytical skills and proven ability to translate complex operational needs into clear technical requirements.   Required Experience To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered. Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field 7+ years of business analysis experience Business Analysis certification or certificate Demonstrated requirements management expertise Direct experience with DoD maintenance systems Proven track record defining complex requirements for technical solutions Advanced knowledge of requirements engineering methodologies Experience eliciting requirements from diverse stakeholder groups Track record of successful user acceptance testing implementation Exceptional documentation and specification writing abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated experience with requirements management tools Ability to operate effectively in remote/hybrid team environments Current NACI or ability to obtain Bring the WOW Factor: In addition to our core requirements that are an absolute must for this role, we want to highlight some of the qualifications that we consider to “Bring the WOW Factor”. IIBA Certification Specific experience with USAF maintenance systems Knowledge of depot maintenance workflows and processes Understanding of data science, analytics, or machine learning concepts Experience with CMMI or other structured requirements methodologies Background in process modeling and optimization Experience with visualization tools for requirements presentation Track record of requirements management in agile development environments Understanding of natural language processing applications for maintenance data Experience with predictive analytics or decision support systems Track record of coaching organizations through agile transformations Experience integrating agile with earned value management requirements Experience working in or with the US Air Force Sustainment Center or US Air Force Research Laboratory Living inside Oklahoma City, OK or the surrounding areas   Physical Requirements & Disclaimer: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
