About the role

Agility's Performance Creative team builds the creative that powers our clients' brand advertising campaigns. We're looking for a skilled and versatile Copywriter to own the words behind that work: compelling, persona-driven, cross-channel copy across the full marketing funnel, from awareness through conversion.

You'll write for real campaigns from day one, collaborating with our creative and strategy teams to keep every piece engaging, brand-aligned, and effective. This is a craft role for a writer who's energized by range and pace: one day a scroll-stopping social hook, the next a 30-second video script.

What you'll do

  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for brand advertising campaigns for multiple industries and clients across a wide range of channels, including display, paid social, paid search (Google/Bing headlines and descriptions), audio and video scripts, and digital out-of-home (DOOH).
  • Help drive messaging strategy, translating the broader marketing strategy into copy that connects each brand to its audience.
  • Write multiple variations built for testing, and use performance signals to sharpen the next round.
  • Conduct light research to understand brand voice, target audiences, and industry trends.
  • Review and refine copy generated by team members or AI tools to meet brand and performance standards.
  • Suggest creative approaches to improve ad performance.
  • Collaborate with strategy partners to translate client briefs into on-strategy, on-brand creative, and hit deadlines within our SLA framework, holding each unique brand voice consistent from a single display ad to a multi-channel campaign.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of proven copywriting experience for marketing, ideally in brand advertising or a performance-creative setting.
  • A portfolio showing range across formats including display ads, paid social, paid search, audio scripts, video scripts, and DOOH, and the ability to write to a persona and a funnel stage, not just a vibe.
  • Ability to adapt writing style for different tones, audiences, and campaign objectives, and to produce high volume without dropping quality.
  • Strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a tracked workflow.
  • Self-starter who works independently, meets deadlines, and sees test results as direction rather than criticism.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copy.ai) for ideation or drafting.

Nice to have

  • Background in performance marketing or full-funnel advertising strategy.
  • Familiarity with ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, programmatic) and best practices for each channel.
  • Experience collaborating with designers or creative teams.
