As a Surety Analyst on our Universal team, you will support clients and surety companies with transactional contract and commercial bonds by processing activities and delivering best-in-class customer service. As a remote position, this individual can be based in the following states: CA, GA, LA, MA, MD, NY, OH, or WA.
Individuals within a 50-mile radius of one of our office locations in Wayne, PA; Philadelphia, PA; or Greenwood Village, CO will be expected to work a hybrid schedule but can otherwise be remote if outside the commute range.

- Process and manage clients' surety bond needs by reviewing contracts, facilitating information exchange between clients and underwriters, securing approvals, and issuing bonds.
- Deliver top-tier customer service by communicating with clients and underwriters.
- Handle all administrative aspects of bond issuance, modifications, renewals, cancellations, invoicing, and database management.
- Review incoming bond applications for completeness and accuracy and enter data into processing systems.
- Organize and maintain electronic bond documents.
- Serve as liaison for updates and inquiries; coordinate with underwriters to address any issues.
- Process endorsements and renewals; document changes accurately and inform relevant parties.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct quality checks to resolve discrepancies in documentation.
- Set and achieve work goals; ensure thorough and accurate task completion.
- Support accounting with billing issue resolution.
- Maintain expertise in surety terms and procedures; may train and mentor junior analysts.
- May independently manage select client programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related insurance experience and/or training, with a preference for surety experience in a support capacity. Prior experience handling transactional contract or commercial bonds preferred.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and handle issues professionally.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and thorough follow-through.
- Energetic self-starter able to prioritize, multi-task, work independently, and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational and file-documentation skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn proprietary systems.
