BIM & MEP Coordinator

Job Summary:

The BIM & MEP Coordinator will oversee and manage the coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the design and construction process. This role will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and constructability of MEP systems in coordination with architectural and structural elements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate BIM models for all MEP systems in collaboration with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Manage and update BIM content, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Facilitate clash detection and resolution between MEP systems and other building components.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation and ensure alignment with the latest design revisions.
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and site teams to provide constructability input.
• Support the development of detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• Assist with project scheduling, procurement, and installation sequencing for MEP systems.
• Work with the construction team to create, review, and manage project submittals.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely submission of required materials and equipment data.
• Provide Revit training to other team members to improve overall BIM capabilities.
• Share best practices, workflows, and standards to ensure consistency across projects.
• Track submittal status and assist in resolving discrepancies between shop drawings, specifications, and site conditions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
• Experience with clash detection software and workflows.
• Basic proficiency in Excel and data entry.
