What You'll Do
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Triage patient calls and messages, identifying urgent concerns and escalating cases appropriately.
- Support providers with patient follow-ups, medication management, and care coordination.
- Communicate laboratory results, prescriptions, and treatment instructions under provider guidance.
- Provide compassionate and professional support throughout the patient care journey.
Medical Documentation
- Accurately document patient interactions, medical histories, and provider notes.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Ensure documentation meets clinical, legal, and organizational standards.
- Support providers by preparing accurate patient information for clinical review.
Care Coordination & Administrative Support
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups.
- Assist with referral management and communication between providers, patients, and external healthcare partners.
- Support administrative workflows, billing coordination, and report preparation as needed.
- Maintain organized patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Clinical Operations
- Support providers with daily clinical and operational activities.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling protected health information.
- Contribute to efficient workflow management and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in hospitals, clinics, medical offices, or healthcare organizations.
- Licensed Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical certification required. Registered Nurses (RN) or Medical Doctors (MD) are highly preferred.
- Resume must clearly indicate current license or certification status.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.
- Experience performing patient triage and urgency assessment.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1) required.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely during U.S. business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare providers.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and clinical documentation standards.
- Hands-on clinical experience with medication administration, wound care, vital signs, or patient education.
- Experience coordinating care across multiple providers or specialties.
