As a Backend Software Engineer, you will design and implement scalable, high-performance server-side solutions that power our global transactions platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product vision into reliable APIs, ensuring seamless integration with payment processors and robust infrastructure automation. Leveraging modern DevOps practices, you will streamline deployment pipelines using Terraform and GitHub Actions, continuously improving system resilience and delivery speed. Your expertise in Go, Python, and Java will drive innovation in core services, while your strong problem‑solving skills will maintain application quality and security at every stage.

Requirements

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑availability backend services in Go, Python, and Java.

• Implement and manage Terraform scripts to provision and scale cloud resources consistently.

• Configure and optimize GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

• Integrate with multiple payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) ensuring compliance with PCI‑DSS standards.

• Perform code reviews, enforce coding best practices, and contribute to architectural discussions.

• Monitor application performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

• Collaborate with product and front‑end teams to deliver end‑to‑end feature solutions.

• Develop robust error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms for production stability.

• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation.

• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends in cloud infrastructure, payment technologies, and backend development.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝘁

• 3+ years of professional experience building scalable backend systems in Go, Python, and/or Java.

• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and experience deploying resources on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Hands‑on experience configuring GitHub Actions for CI/CD, including automated testing and deployment.

• Deep understanding of payment gateway integration, security best practices, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as message queuing systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills across distributed systems.

• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks, unit/integration tests, and test automation pipelines.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud orchestration.

• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies in backend development.
