The Accounting Assistant role will be responsible for assisting the processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.  Duties also consist of effectively maintaining Business Administration and supplier list. This includes paying various business invoices in a timely manner, within business terms and efficiently maintaining significant debtors’ portfolio to enhance cash flow.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and process employee expense claims.
  • Assist with accounts payable processes, including supplier invoices, payment runs, credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices for projects, licensing, and recurring services.
  • Maintain and update the invoice tracker and finance system data.
  • Record and track billable project expenses for client invoicing
  • Work closely with Project Managers to manage outstanding work in progress (WIP) and support timely billing.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up overdue invoices with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assist with new engagement administration, documentation, and rate verification.
  • Prepare weekly AR and WIP reporting
  • Provide support for month-end close activities and reconciliations.
  • Support continuous improvement of finance processes and ensure accuracy of financial records.

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 4-5 years in a similar role within a professional services organization
  • Degree level qualification in Accounting
  • Oracle Financials experience or similar Accounting Systems highly desirable 
  • Microsoft Office (intermediate)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to interpret data and identify information from monthly trends
  • High attention to detail, and focus on integrity of data
  • Willingness to accept new learning challenges with can do approach to learning.
