ASL Interpreter (Pre-Certified), On-Site - Hauppauge, NY

CLFC is expanding its sign language interpreter roster to support both on-site assignments across the greater Hauppauge, NY area and remote/virtual assignments nationwide. We are seeking experienced New York sign language interpreters looking to supplement their existing schedule with flexible, high-priority appointments.

Why Join the Roster

• Complete Flexibility: The roster is strictly non-exclusive. Maintain full control of your calendar by accepting only the assignments that align with your availability.
• In-Person Assignments: Work in person at the ACCES-VR district office and at community sites across the counties it serves. On-site work is paid above remote work.
• Competitive, Guaranteed Pay: $42.00 to $50.00 per hour with a guaranteed 2-hour minimum per assignment.
• Short-Notice & Cancellation Protection: Assignments scheduled inside standard notice windows receive premium rates. Confirmed assignments canceled within 24 hours of the appointment time are paid in full.
• Travel Reimbursement: On-site travel is reimbursed at the active GSA mileage rate.
• Administrative & Scheduling Support: Logistics, contracting, and invoicing are handled directly by CLFC. All scheduling, location confirmations, and appointment details are managed seamlessly through the BRIDGE App.

Requirements

• Active interpreter certification (e.g., RID, BEI), or demonstrated interpreting experience with an active pathway to certification.
• Professional interpreting background in medical, legal, educational, or government settings.
• Dependable transportation to on-site appointments across the counties the district office serves.
