AI Summary

Conduct live learning sessions on aptitude topics and diagnose student performance gaps to provide targeted interventions. Continuously refine curriculum, assessments, and learning experiences based on student outcomes and industry expectations.

This is a remote position.

The short version

What this role is about: Delivering aptitude training that actually prepares students to clear quantitative and problem solving screening rounds at companies and not just teaching formulas for the sake of it.

Who we're looking for: Someone who understands that aptitude tests are pattern-recognition problems, not math problems.
We're looking for someone who can review a student's mock test and exactly tell us what is going wrong.

Why you should apply: You'll become part of a small group of practitioners who don't just teach, they obsess over students' learning, redesign the approach, and measure whether it worked. If you enjoy building from first principles and seeing outcomes improve, you'll find this role deeply rewarding.

About us: Kraftshala is India’s largest higher-education institution in terms of marketing placements, with a 94% placement rate. Our programs serve as a talent pipeline for agencies such as Publicis, Dentsu, IPG, and Hiveminds, as well as brands like Nestlé, Nykaa, Google, Lenskart, Zomato, and 500+ other companies.

We are backed by eminent investors including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs of companies like RedBus, NoBroker, Nestlé, and Performics.

The detailed version

Aptitude is one of the most common filters students face in placements at top agencies, and analytics companies. Yet most aptitude training follows the same pattern: topic-by-topic formula delivery, practice from standard books, one mock test. Students who already have math confidence do fine. Students who don't, which is most of our cohort leave knowing a formula they'll forget under pressure.

At Kraftshala, we believe aptitude should be taught the way companies actually test it: timed, with deliberate traps, and with a clear framework for which questions to attempt first, which to skip, and which to guess on.

We're looking for someone who can help us continuously improve this and ensure students are genuinely ready on the day of the test.

What you'll spend your time on:
  • Training & Instruction- Conduct live learning sessions across beginner and advanced Aptitude topics while helping students build confidence in solving quantitative problems using mental maths.
  • Diagnosing Student Gaps- Review student performance and identify whether errors come from concept gaps, calculation speed, question misreading, or test anxiety. Design targeted interventions, not a repeat of the original session, but a precise fix for the specific problem.
  • Improving Learning Experiences- Continuously refine curriculum, projects, assessments, and classroom experiences based on student outcomes, hiring partner feedback, and evolving industry expectations.
  • Mentoring Students- Guide students through doubt-solving sessions, assessments, and interview preparation while helping them develop structured quantitative and analytical thinking.
Must-Have Skills
  • 3–8 years of hands-on experience teaching, training, or preparing students for aptitude assessments. (We are not too fussed about the number of years of experience. Experience is simply a proxy for capability, which is what we truly care about.)
  • Ability to teach non-math students without assuming prior knowledge.
  • Experience designing original question sets with deliberate trap design.
  • Diagnostic thinking: given a student's error pattern, you can identify the root cause quickly.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for beginners.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Curiosity to continuously learn and improve.

What Success Looks Like:

Someone succeeding in this role will help students:
  • Clear aptitude screens at top agencies and brands at a meaningfully higher rate.
  • Know exactly which question types to attempt first, skip, or guess on under timed conditions.
  • Stop being afraid of quant and start seeing it as a pattern-matching exercise they are trained for.
  • Explain their quantitative reasoning out loud when challenged in an interview.
What makes this role different?

Unlike traditional training roles, this isn't about delivering the same slides repeatedly.
You'll collaborate with a small group of practitioners who constantly challenge assumptions, debate better ways of solving business problems, and build learning experiences from first principles. Whether it's designing question sets, running post-mock diagnoses, or redesigning a session that isn't working you'll have the freedom to experiment and the responsibility to improve outcomes.

If you enjoy building, questioning, and continuously improving you'll find this role deeply rewarding.
