POSITION OVERVIEW

Spectra Management is actively seeking a hands-on senior Agentic Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive the construction, integration, and optimization of cutting-edge, agent-based AI applications for our immediate operational expansion.

In this role, you will focus on implementation excellence, platform expertise, and the delivery of production-ready agentic solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, LangGraph, and advanced Python frameworks. You will act as a core technical leader responsible for translating complex business logic into scalable, secure, and distributed autonomous AI workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Agent Development: Design, build, and deploy high-performance agent services utilizing AWS Bedrock and AgentCore. Implement detailed agent specifications, multi-step workflows, external tool integrations, and human-in-the-loop approval mechanisms. Support the migration of legacy agent setups into distributed cloud architectures.
• LangGraph Engineering: Develop and maintain sophisticated LangGraph workflows utilizing state machines, conditional routing, and graph persistence. Refactor monolithic orchestration patterns while preserving execution flows and underlying business logic.
• FastAPI & Python Development: Architect production-grade FastAPI services. Implement asynchronous APIs, middleware, dependency injection, and service integrations to build and maintain robust gateway-to-agent interfaces.
• Platform & Infrastructure Engineering: Configure AWS Bedrock integrations, model invocation patterns, and streaming interactions. Support the implementation of AgentCore Runtime, Gateway, and Registry while integrating orchestration tools like AWS Step Functions.
• Security & Reliability: Apply secure coding practices specifically designed for enterprise AI applications. Enforce strict IAM policies, authentication controls, and secure service communications while participating in technical architecture reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Python Expertise: Expert-level software engineering experience in Python with a proven track record of building production applications using FastAPI.
• Agentic Frameworks: Hands-on, practical implementation experience with LangGraph (state management, conditional routing, graph persistence).
• AWS & AI Ecosystem: Direct experience developing agentic AI solutions with AWS Bedrock, AWS Step Functions, and AgentCore (Runtime, Gateway, and Registry).
• Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of distributed architectures, orchestration frameworks, and building large-scale, multi-agent systems.
• AI Security & Enterprise Deployment: Solid grasp of enterprise identity/access management (IAM), secure API design, and security patterns tailored for AI deployments.
• Language & Communication: Professional English fluency (verbal and written) with exceptional technical communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
