Agentic AI Architect

This is a contractor role through X-Team. We are seeking a highly specialized Agentic AI Architect to design, deploy, and scale a modular, multi-agent AI ecosystem across our Engineering teams (WordPress, Mobile, and Node.js). Operating autonomously outside traditional Scrum ceremonies, your mandate is not feature development, but rather building custom AI automation tools that revolutionize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and drastically reduce manual toil. While you will bootstrap this system within our WordPress web ecosystem first, you must architect the core orchestration layer to scale seamlessly across iOS, Android, and Node.js repositories. Your success will be measured by two primary KPIs: Increasing Development Velocity and Reducing Bugs in Production; with a third administrative review of Cost Efficiency.

• AI & Agentic Expertise: Proven experience building multi-agent systems and utilising appropriate models for code generation, refactoring, and logical reasoning.
• Deep understanding of LLM, RAG and API Integration.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of AWS ecosystems, particularly serverless deployments (AWS Lambda), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Docker).
• Codebase Empathy & Versatility: While you won't be building client-facing features, you must possess the technical breadth to configure AI-driven scaffolding that operates seamlessly across multiple repositories.
• Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and review code written in various languages, specifically PHP (WordPress), TypeScript, Swift (iOS), and Kotlin (Android).
• Strong working knowledge of mobile architectural patterns (MVVM, SOLID design principles).
• Comfort working with both web testing suites and native mobile frameworks.
• Practical familiarity with modern package managers (like CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, or npm) and build automation frameworks (such as Fastlane and Gradle) to effectively intercept and integrate AI checks into active CI/CD pipelines.
• Consulting Skillset: C1 minimum English proficiency with exceptional communication and active listening skills. You must be able to translate developer frustrations into scalable, standardised technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the media and publishing industry, with ownership of end-to-end (E2E) test automation.
• Strong advocate of a shift-left testing approach, identifying defects early in the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of high-quality, production-ready software
