Job Summary

The Advisor II, US Giving and Engagement Strategist leads efforts to expand donor acquisition, revenue generation, and engagement through U.S. Church fundraising programs and initiatives. Serving as a strategic advisor across G-REM, the role partners with teams across the agency develop and advance fundraising strategies, campaign approaches, and divisional plans that support G-REM's goals and programmatic priorities.

 

The Advisor II provides strategic oversight of CRS Rice Bowl, CRS’ flagship Lenten fundraising and engagement program, as well as the CRS National Collection in partnership with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), ensuring alignment of priorities, stakeholder engagement, and successful achievement of fundraising and engagement objectives.

 

Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and subject‑matter expertise on U.S. Church giving and campaigns. Support G-REM’s church campaigns fundraising strategy by working with teams to identify tools and tactics for increasing outcomes across platforms. Establish the processes to innovate and actualize these two flagship programs and collaborate with Church Engagement to scale these initiatives through their work with Church partners.
  • Comprehensively manage the CRS Rice Bowl program by producing the program’s strategy framework, identifying and aligning priorities across teams, and facilitating the planning and cross‑team coordination for content production, materials fulfillment, digital marketing and communications. Work with Church Engagement to develop performance assessments and other programmatic operations and logistics as needed.
  • Shape the design of medium and long-term goals for CRS Rice Bowl. Ensure the strategic objectives are supported across unit plans and divisional strategy.
  • Lead the design and execution of a fundraising strategy for other US Church campaign initiatives.
  • Facilitate regular, objective assessments of data, relevant research and related reporting to understand the efficacy of the team’s outputs and that key learnings are applied to the team’s activities and incorporated into annual planning processes, in addition to translating insights into strategic recommendations to inform senior leadership decision-making.
  • Support the Church Engagement liaison to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ International Justice and Peace and Education and Outreach Teams, Finance Committees as well as other US Church agencies to communicate CRS’ priorities for US-based programs and initiatives and to actualize fundraising and engagement goals. 
  • Foster productive relationships across the division, ensuring openness and readiness of teams to strengthen collaboration, shared accountability and alignment to effectively reach team and divisional goals.
  • Promote, uphold and model a commitment to the efficient use of agency and donor resources.
