Position Statement
The Admissions Coordinator and Planner is responsible for managing, administrating and coordinating prospective
students’ introductory queries regarding Jersey College’s programs. The Admissions Coordinator and Planner must be
able to provide prospective students with an overview of the academic programs offered at Jersey College, the admission
process for each program, and the College and campuses history, mission, values and structure. The job description of
Admissions Coordinator and Planner encompasses other similar positions such as the Manager of Admissions
Coordinators and Planners who provides mentoring, guidance, training and oversight of Admissions Coordinators and
Planners.

Job Responsibilities
Management of Admissions Process
-Oversee the initial queries and admissions process for prospective students at the institutional level, including, but not limited to:
Conducting sessions with potential students with regards to their interests and educational/professional
plans
Assisting potential students in determining their fit and eligibility into our programs
Pre-qualify students for admissions – ensuring students meet minimum admission requirements (age,
degrees, technical standards, etc.) established by the institution
Managing and arranging campus visits and tours for prospective students
Coordinating entrance testing
Providing prospective students with an honest and precise overview of the academic programs offered at
Jersey College, the admission process for each program, and the College and campuses’ history,
mission, values and structure
Engaging in appropriate follow-up activity at all stages of the lead-to-enrollment process
-Plan and coordinate with the campus admissions team about upcoming events and other important dates
-Provide input on how to improve screening and inquiry admission processes based on prospective student feedback
-Conduct off-campus recruitment activities
Oversight Compliance with Enrollment Processes and Documentation
-Manage, organize and track admission information in databases and maintain relevant records and documentation.
-Conduct audits of the files to ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the institution
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree is required
A minimum of one (1) year Education Admissions experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on active listening and collaboration.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
