The Opportunity

Lesley University’s Department of Psychology+ is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: CPSYC 2433 - Cognitive Psychology; Fall 2026 Term II; Remote, Asynchronous.
 
Course Description:

This course provides a critical review of theories, methods, and findings in human information processing, learning, and thinking. Topics include verbal learning, memory, attention, perception, problem solving, and creativity. The course also examines how these cognitive processes function during altered states of awareness, such a sleep, dreams, and hypnosis.

Qualities and Capabilities 

A successful candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field (required); PhD or terminal degree (preferred)

  • Demonstrated success teaching at the undergraduate level

  • Commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and equitable teaching practices

  • Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
