The Opportunity

Lesley University's Department of Psychology+ is seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: CPSYC 3405 - Understanding Psychological Diagnosis; Fall 2026 Term I; Remote, Asynchronous.

Course Description: 
This course introduces students to the major approaches to the conceptualization, classification, assessment, treatment, and prevention of psychological disorders. In addition, students will examine the lived experiences of individuals with these disorders and explore the social, historical, and cultural contexts that shape the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.

Qualities & Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

  • Master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field (required); PhD or terminal degree (preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience teaching psychology courses at the undergraduate level, preferably in a remote/online format

  • Commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and equitable teaching practices

  • Experience using learning management systems and instructional technology to support teaching and learning

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
