Wheeling University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor position in the MBA program within the Department of Business, beginning August 2026. We seek a dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching and committed to supporting the University’s mission. The successful candidate will teach graduate-level MBA courses in a fully online format.
Responsibilities
Teach assigned in-person courses following approved curriculum
Prepare and share course syllabi and materials
Lead engaging classroom instruction and activities
Must remain accessible to students through virtual meetings and respond to emails and messages within a reasonable timeframe
Provide timely feedback and grading
Refer students to campus resources as needed
Keep accurate grade records and submit grades on time
Uphold academic integrity standards
Attend required meetings and trainings
Follow institutional policies and procedures
Communicate with department leadership as needed
Stay current in subject area and teaching practices
Qualifications
Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business or a related discipline is required.
Prior college-level teaching experience in an online format
Relevant professional experience in the field
Basic proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems (i.e. Canvas)
