🚀 Project Overview

You will join a high-performing Finance Solution Delivery squad operating as a lean internal solution unit. Your primary focus will be expanding capacity across key enterprise financial operations, absorbing technical backlog, enhancing platform responsiveness, and delivering scalable, long-term configurations within the Workday Financials ecosystem.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Domain Configuration & Support: Deliver hands-on functional configuration, continuous troubleshooting, and daily operational support across multiple Workday Financials modules.
• Flexible Execution & Ownership: Act as a technical "utility player," adapting quickly to prioritize key functional areas like Financial Accounting, Expenses, and Business Assets based on evolving business needs.
• Production Support & Backlog Reduction: Diagnose system defects, resolve production tickets promptly, and reduce technical backlog to maximize responsiveness for internal Finance stakeholders.
• Scalable Solution Architecture: Design and implement sustainable, long-term technical solutions aligned with overall platform health rather than quick, temporary fixes.
• Stakeholder Requirements Translation: Partner directly with cross-functional leaders in Finance, Accounting, and Procurement to translate complex business needs into efficient Workday system configurations.
• Optimization & Process Improvement: Drive ongoing platform enhancements, automate core financial workflows, and lead strategic optimization initiatives.

💡 Must-Have Skills

• Experience Level: 5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials consulting experience, with a proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Core Financial Domains: Deep functional expertise in Financial Accounting (highest priority), Expenses, and Business Assets.
• Secondary Financial Domains: Working knowledge of Banking & Settlement workflows.
• Operational Flexibility: Proven track record supporting both day-to-day production support and strategic, project-based work within a lean engineering structure.
• Systems Thinking & Communication: Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to communicate directly with business leaders and operate as a trusted extension of the team.
• Experience working effectively in Agile teams and fully remote environments.
• Fluent English for daily written and verbal communication.

🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills

• Advanced Workday Analytics: Experience working with Workday Accounting Center and Workday Prism Analytics.
• Integrations & Reporting: Familiarity with Workday integrations, custom reporting, and Workday Orchestrations or automation frameworks.
• External Management Tools: Exposure to VNDLY (Vendor Management Systems / VMS).
• Procurement: Functional exposure to Procurement processes.

🌐 Time Zone & Collaboration

The role requires collaboration with teams aligned to EST/CST. Flexibility to overlap a few hours with North America business hours is expected.
