About Source Meridian

Source Meridian is a development software company that works to solve the industry’s most challenging problems in healthcare practices. We are laser focused on specific technologies in the healthcare and life science industries: Healthcare technology, artificial intelligence, and healthcare interoperability.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Snowflake Solution Architect to join a small, agile, and highly technical team responsible for defining, building, and owning our client next-generation data platform. This role is a mix of hands-on architecture, technical leadership, and strategic direction—perfect for someone who wants to shape the foundation, standards, and roadmap of a modern data ecosystem.

You will lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based solutions, influence platform direction, and work closely with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, data science and product to ensure our client data platform enables scale, reliability, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging Snowflake, including data modeling, ingestion, transformation, security, and performance optimization.

  • Define the data platform roadmap, standards, and best practices as part of a lean, high-ownership team.

  • Partner with data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists and business groups to convert requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.

  • Lead design sessions, perform technical reviews, and guide decisions related to warehousing, pipelines, orchestration, and governance.

  • Evaluate and integrate relevant tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, Azure/AWS services).

  • Implement strong data security, privacy, and access management controls within Snowflake.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize warehouse performance, cost efficiency, and query execution.

  • Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering, with at least 3 years hands-on in Snowflake.

  • Deep expertise in Snowflake features (Warehouses, Streams/Tasks, Time Travel, RBAC, Clustering, Stages etc.).

  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Python.

  • Experience with Azure cloud platform and modern ELT tooling.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling (star, vault, wide tables), CI/CD for data, and scalable architecture patterns.

  • C1 - C2 English level: able to lead technical discussions, write clear documentation, and work directly with US-based stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with healthcare data and standards like HL7 and FHIR.

  • Experience with dbt for transformations.

  • Background in building event-driven or real-time data pipelines.

  • Prior experience designing greenfield data platforms.

Soft Skills

  • Comfortable working in a small team with high ownership and the ability to set direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical groups
