The engineer independently performs design assignments for small projects or segments of larger projects using standard engineering techniques. Responsibilities include developing specifications, reviewing vendor drawings, and coordinating with construction personnel to ensure project quality and schedule.

The role involves performing mechanical design activities for power generation equipment across all project phases, including preparing design sketches, performing sizing calculations, and selecting major mechanical equipment like boilers, pumps, and heat exchangers. Responsibilities also include interpreting heat and material balances to create P&IDs/PFDs and evaluating vendor bids for compliance with specifications.
