The Medical Coding Auditor will perform audits of medical encounters to identify non-compliance and ensure accurate code selection across various coding systems. They will also provide training and education to coding and clinical staff while reporting on performance metrics.

The Medical Coder is responsible for reviewing health record documentation to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes using industry-standard code sets. They will perform remote coding for outpatient encounters and surgical procedures while ensuring compliance with VHA handbooks and HIPAA regulations.
